Thank You Letter - Re: Bob Conlogue

June 6, 2007

Skip, Would you please be so kind to send this letter to DHS 1956 Classmates who have email, and if you would, also post in the comment page of the DHS1956 website.  Thank you, Rosemary...

Hello to all classmates from Class of 1956

I just can't tell you how much it meant for me to be at that 50th Class of 1956 Reunion with Bob last July, and enjoy the opportunity to meet so many of you.  Bob and I talked about that so many times, and the wonderful memories that I have.  Please excuse errors as I am not the computer person Bob was.  Rainy walked me through getting on-line to enable me to read all of your lovely condolences.  Bobby was such a kind gentle man, the love of my life. I was so very pleased that Barbara Ladow Adlard accepted my request to do the service, and Bette Packard Lee for the playing the organ and singing,  This couldn't of been any more fitting.  The Deering High School banner was an added touch which we put in the building next door for the reception after the service. When I took the banner back to DHS for Bette, I let the DHS Staff know how much it meant.  Bobby must of known I would take care of that.  The flowers sent by the DHS Class of 1956 were beautiful.  Thanks so very much .  Whispers from the Heaven Chimes engraved Bob - DHS 1956 Classmate continue to choke me up.  This is so very hard, but the wonderful memories I have from the past 17 years will help me as time continues on.   I am sure all of you who attended the 50th Reunion remember Bob winning the 50 50 raffle.  Well, that money was used to purchase our two passports.  Last July, after the class reunion, we booked a cruise to Bermuda with 12 other people to start May 26 2007.  Bob loved Bermuda and was so looking forward to going again.  Since Bob passed away before he would enjoy this trip I paid for my daughter to accompany me.  We just returned home this past Saturday June 2 2007.  I carried Bob's passport along with mine with me on this trip along with a very special picture of Bob and I that was taken in Bermuda October 18 2002.  Believe me, he was there with me at all times.  Thanks again to each and everyone of you within the very, very special Deering High School Class of 1956...

Love to all of you, Rosemary

Skip, Rainy, Alumni Committee Members

Greetings from a classmate in Newman, Georgia.  I want to thank you all for your very hard work for our 1956 Class.  I was not one of the big players for the Class of 1956 having been a  transfer student from Cathedral Girls School in January 1953.  I was a member of Ms Ring's Debate Team, and did some oratory contests as well as the FTA.  Remembered well was our class trip to D.C.  What fun!  While living in Portland, I was dependent on bus transportation to and from school so did not do a lot of extra after school activities.  However, I feel a strong connection to all of you who continue a monumental effort to communicate with all of us.  The Class of 1956, especially those who have continued to take alumni leadership roles, have been so kind to stay in touch and keep us posted.  Enclosed is a check for $10 - 2007 dues and a little extra.  Yes, I did forget!  Keep up the good work.  I hope you are able to find our Missing Classmates.

I was very sorry to hear about your loss. Bob was a good friend who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a kind and caring person and will be very much missed. Please accept my deepest sympathy at this very sad time.

Attending the funeral service for our dear friend and classmate, Bob Conlogue, was strange; it was so hard to believe he is gone.  The number of people attending, around 150, was a testament to Bob and to his humble and dignified character.  His children and Rosemary's children lauded his selflessness and love of family and friends; everyone said that Bob loved life, his family, and his friends.  All agreed he never said an unkind word about anyone. He never talked of his own achievements .  Barbara ("Ladow" Adlard) conducted the service beautifully; Betty ("Packard" Lee) sang with such spirit, and her voice is just as clear and touching.  We have a wish list obtained from Turning Point, the cardiac rehabilitation center that was mentioned at the end of Bob's obituary.  Is there a possibility within the Class of 1956 Alumni budget to make a donation in Bob's memory?

Thanks for the notice about Bob Conlogue.  I am sorry, and will miss his warm smile and personality that was to help first and worry about the rest later.  Hope the rest of us will attend the reunion two years from now.  Keep up the great work of informing the Classmates.

Hi Skip et al (Please pass on):

Just will take a minute to tell you that I went to the Parlor around 3:45, and was the first one to see Bob in the casket and all the most gorgeous array of flowers (DHS bouquet is beautiful and at the right of his casket), as I picked up the DHS banner and took it to Rosemary to use/not use as she and the family wished.  It truly was a shock to see the open casket, but Bob looked so very good in his Hawaiian (sp) shirt and sunglasses tucked in his pocket the way he always did.  He really looked peaceful and content. The flag was draped at the right end of the casket.  I will be playing organ music tomorrow and perhaps singing, depending on what the family can pick out for music.  I had also picked up a 50's songbook at Starbirds for them to look over, and I had made a quick list of a couple pages of song titles just as some ideas of them.  Barb is there now, and I will go over as soon as I can and we will discuss the service tomorrow and what part I will/will not play in that and the reception, too.  I hope I will get to practice the organ tonight or before the service tomorrow.  I will just let my heart and spirit guide the music.....for Bob.

So, that is it for now......will check in as we go along.     X0000XXXXX

Thank you for sending me this information on Bob Conlogue--  I was quite surprised to read his obit.  I am so glad I got a chance to talk to him at our reunion.  I guess we never know when our time has come.  I am visiting my daughter and family in new jersey - great seeing the grandchildren.

Irma and I wish to extend our condolences to you, Rosemary and Families, on Bob's passing. He was the first person we saw in the lobby welcoming us to the reunion. Peoples appearances change over the years, but inwardly they stay the same; as Bob's instant friendliness will attest. He was a great classmate, and we will certainly miss him.

Thanks for your update. Of course Anne and I want to contribute for flowers, etc. Let me know. Bob was captain of the football team while I was on the team and I considered him a close friend and a leader.

I totally agree with you o the "bonding" experience of the reunion. It occurs to me that ,with our collective aging, it might be appropriate to think about establishing a voluntary fund (under Ken, if he is willing to take on added duties, to provide a source of immediate of funding for such unexpected, and unwelcome, future contingencies. If you and the others who are much closer to what's going on than I (until we get to move back full time) think this would be worthwhile and workable, I will kick in an opening donation of $500 to get it started.

As for health issues, don't know the source of rumors you have heard but it is true that Anne and I have spent more time than we would like with doctors since Nov. As it stands now, the only serious problem is that Anne has to have a total hip replacement, scheduled for June 6 which will have lengthy rehab and leaves our summer in Maine up in the air. Understand these are getting pretty routine now so thinking positive. I had a few scares, none of which now appear serious--skin cancer on face, removed-not malignant, spots on lung-not growing and probably have had them a long time, cataract operations on both eyes-successful and no longer need glasses, and heart scares but today learned that, though there may be a "very mild" blockage, no action recommended. Scorch the rumors.

Do understand Willy Ingalls had an angioplasty and a couple of stints.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Bob's passing. I didn't know him very well during my years at Deering, but we became much better acquainted at the 50th DHS reunion. I even have his cell phone number in my phone, and had hoped to see him again at our recent Summer reunion in Florida after Skip had said that he might be a participant. I will always remember his friendly manner and congenial smile. God keep and bless.

Dear Skip,  Thanks for letting us all know about Bob.  Life is definitely fragile.  It’s such a cliché to say that he seemed so well last year, but he did.  I guess we’re at the age when we will lose friends but it’s always so sad.

Hi Skip, Thanks as always for your attention to all Class matters. Still good to hear from you even on such matters. I won't be able to attend the funeral Saturday at 1:00 as I am going to Courtland Perry's  funeral in Augusta that same time.  Don't know if you remember Courty, but he was blinded at age 16 prying open a dynamite cap but subsequently attended Perkins Institute For the Blind, graduated from Deering, '54 I think went on to law school and became a very prominent probate judge. His obituary is on line at www.MaineToday.com/ Kennebec Journal. That's the Augusta paper as you may know.

To All My Classmates,

It is such a heavy heart today after learning the loss of our beloved classmate, Bob Conlogue, that I write this note.  Bob was so instrumental in planning our 50th Reunion.  He and Rosemary worked on the Registration Table all three days, and they opened up the hospitality room every morning with coffee and goodies so we all had a place to meet and reminisce, and always done with a smile, and, of course, running the 50/50.  Bob will be deeply missed by all of us, and our hearts go out to Rosemary, who had become one of our own, even though she did not graduate with us.  Bob’s memory will always be with us when we all meet in the future.  This sadness again emphasizes the importance of friendships and the need to stay in touch with one another.  I shall be thinking of all you 1956 classmates in the days ahead.

My memories of Bob go back to those wonderful years at Deering. Having a brother so actively involved in sports at Deering, I knew most of the ball players pretty well. Bob was always so friendly with that beautiful, shy smile and a cheerful hello. He worked so hard to be a member of that football team, and proved his value whenever he was on the field. Since then, whenever I would meet him around town, at a game, or giving him my toll money, that smile just radiated. As we worked together, all of us on the Reunion Committee came to depend on Bob's enthusiasm and willingness to take on whatever chore was asked of him. His death has brought such shock and sorrow. May all your wonderful memories bring you great comfort, Rosemary. My thoughts and prayers are, and will be, with you during a most difficult time.

Cherie (my life partner) and I are so deeply saddened by Bob's untimely passing. We shall remember forever so many precious memories that were born and came to light during our unforgettable DHS Class of 1956 50th Reunion.  Bob and Rosemary were always readily available to make this once in a lifetime event the best it could be for everybody. May God bless and be with you.

Skip, Sorry to learn about Bob's death.  I located two Edward Williams (DHSn Class of 1957) in Maine through Switchboard.com.  One in Cape Elizabeth, and one in Lisbon, but none in Gorham.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  (Marge attempted to assist in locating the person who sent a message to the DHS1956.org website to alert the class that Bob Conlogue passed away suddenly.  John Learson was successful to locate this friend of Bob's who we are so very grateful to).

Hi Skip and Cherie,

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed the time at your home and the opportunity to see all of your circus memorabilia.  You have had an interesting life and have a wonderful collection.

It was nice to meet classmates we didn't see at the 50th reunion last summer, and thank you for a wonderful day and evening.
The food was great, especially those yummy cookies. Thanks again for everything.

Hello Skip, Just a note to tell you again how much fun Tom and I had at the DHS Fun in the Sun weekend.  (February 24 - 25, 2007 in Sunny Sarasota Florida)  We are SO glad that we made arrangements to stay over in Sarasota on Saturday night.  That allowed us to fully enjoy the whole day Saturday with all the good quality time we had with classmates and others.  You and Cherie are wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed all of your stories throughout the day.  It's always a perfect party when the place, the food, and the folks have so much fun they don't want to leave!

And then, we would have been really, really upset if we had missed the brunch, cruise, and final "spree" at the Tiki Hut on Sunday.  It was a great weekend, and we extend our sincere thanks to all of you who planned it all and then executed those plans.  We cast our votes for another such get-together next year - but it will be hard to top this one.

My cousin, Libby Rolfe, has remarked what a wonderful time she and hubby, John, had at the "party".

Hope all is going well with you folks.... I see you have another "reunion" coming up in 2008.  Do you expect a good crowd???   Keep in touch once in a while and PLEASE let me know when you update the site.

Dear Class President,

"Rainy" joked that you exceeded your 3 minutes & she and everyone were most grateful. I felt like a baby bird with my beak open awaiting to be fed more & more.  Eliot, unfortunately, I was not there physically, however, you allowed me to attend the reunion spiritually. As I'm getting a bit forgetful these days, doctors are talking to me about taking Dementia Tests to which I have not succumbed, yet!!! God forbid you ever face this terrible affliction but your speech, at least to me, indicates 100% retention facility. You have transcended your effort in our behalf!!! Now my turn to thank you has come. But alas, at this moment not being a literary gifted individual, I'm afraid that words will not adequately support my feelings. I'm proud to have been your classmate and it's a wonderful satisfaction too that my decision to endorse you to represent us 50+ years ago was one that I would also make today. I feel we are all gifted that you and our experience at Deering will be part of our lingering precious memories.  "Ciao" for now to All Classmates!!!

Eliot,

I just read the address you gave at the reunion and wanted to say, again, what a wonderful job you did.  You obviously spent many, many hours thinking back and putting this address together.  You were superb, Eliot, even though you did go over your THREE minutes!!!!  I must say, I am glad you did, as I, along with classmates AND spouses, enjoyed your talk immensely.  Thank you, Eliot.  It was much appreciated by the Committee, and was one of the highlights of the banquet.

To: Skip, Rainy, & Classmates

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the Reunion, but because of the  Awesome Web Site (I had many of my cronies celebrating their many year after graduation reunions link on to our site and was enviously told by so many who attended schools all over the country that ours was the best they had seen), Pre and Post Comments regarding the event, and now the Photos, you've all enabled me to share in it albeit afar.  Skip, thank you too for emails "Do You Remember When" & recent one with the Inspirational Slide Show with spectacular scenery & inspirational messages.  I'm sure many of my classmates have heard the expression "Yesterday is history - Tomorrow is mystery - Today is a gift" !!!  For it was just today that I saw the movie "Boynton Beach Club", and I recommend it to all classmates. Although a comedy, I found it bitter sweet, nostalgic. and poignant. The actors portrayed people our age today with all the trials and tribulations we encounter experiencing the natural order of things, clinging to the past, taking up roller skating, jogging and recreating high school hop social events, diet and weight concerns, aging (for some reluctantly), loss of intimate family and friends, renewed dating, sexual issues, and the realization that getting older is not for sissies!!! Yes, we'll always have our treasured memories, but it is today that I wish you, Skip & Rainy, all involved in the Web Site, and fellow classmates wonderful days ahead full of fun, joy, and love, and may the future be one where terrorism is less of a threat and good health is bestowed upon us all as a gift from our God for which we will be humbly grateful.

Sorry to take so long getting the 50th Reunion photos to you.  All of you guys put a lot of work into putting the reunion together, and it showed.  The Class of 1956 50th Reunion, as Cole Porter would put it, was "a swellagent, elegant party!"

This reunion was the best! I have bragged to everyone I know about our 1956 reunion. The three days that we were all together was the best time I have had in years. It truly gave us time to get reacquainted.  My husband Don also enjoyed everything. Connie and I found each other on the Internet a few years ago. The reunion was the first time we saw each other in 50 years. I can't say enough to you Rainy about all the work you have done for our class. I am so happy and proud to have been one of your classmates.

I had a great time at our 50th Reunion and enjoyed meeting classmates that had caused such problems for me as a teenager. It was like erasing fears and memories, and replacing them with pleasant experiences I would have liked to have enjoyed back in the good old days.  Again a great experience, and thanks to everybody for all the work.

Classmate Edward Rogers

Ed Rogers is currently in Brockton, Massachusetts at the Bay Pointe Rehabilitation Center, Room 222 50 Christy Place, Brockton, MA 02301. There is a phone at the facility: (508) 580-6800.  He does not have email.

Directions:

From Route 24 (North or South) take Exit 18A (Route 27 Brockton). At the first set of lights, turn right onto Christy Drive, then right onto Christy Place. Bay Pointe is at the end of the cul-de-sac, on the left. If you have a GPS, the coordinates are: 420 5.37 N - - 710 3.21 W

Everett "Sid" Dunn speaking:  My visit with Ed Rogers on July 7th was the first time we had seen each other in about 45 years. We had known each other since we met at Trinity Episcopal Church in the early 50s, and had been close friends through high school. We both went into the Army the September after our graduation from Deering, and served together for the briefest possible hitch at the time - 6 months active duty, followed by 7 and 1/2 years of reserves. This was his idea and it worked fine for us since all males at that time were looking at some sort of military obligation. We went to different colleges but kept our relationship going during those summer vacations until 1961, after which we went totally different ways and our connection became lost. The day of the visit, it took us a while to recognize each other, an experience that was to be repeated several times the next few days at the reunion.

A series of strokes has left Ed with a little less control of himself than he once had. His speech is quite low in volume and can be slurred at times, but he is willing to keep trying until you understand.  It helps to watch his body language as you communicate. The up side of the visit was finding that Ed still has his sense of humor, his ever present wit (If you recall, he was our Class Wit for four years running), and a memory that is incredible by any standards.  There were things we had done together in the past that were quite funny, and he remembered them and laughed. We sang "Yankee Doodle Dandy" together and he remembered the words. He remembered all the mildly disparaging comments that were made in Ms. Cowan's Latin class - e.g. One day she asked me to do the future tense of cesso, cessare - meaning to cease (using Latin's hard "c" sound), and I recall reciting, "cessero, cesseras, cesserat" only to hear a voice behind me whispering, "Kiss'er ass, Dunn - kiss'er ass!" It was Rogers, of course - all laughable, meaningless trivia at the time, but memorable today for some unknown reason. He asked my about my younger brother and sister, and remembered my pet names for them, which I shall not print here, but to tell the truth, I had forgotten those names years ago.

Regrettably, he no longer plays bridge, a game that he has pursued with passion for much of his active life. I barely recall him trying to teach me to play, and realizing at the time that he was never cut out to play social bridge - looking at his dealt hand while discussing current events & people, reaching for the bridge mix and lemonade, then asking for a review of the now-forgotten bidding. No! Rogers bridge was focused all-out war, take no prisoners, and in the words of Long John Silver, "Them as dies - will be the lucky ones!"

Ed is somewhat ambulatory, and in fact, the week before the visit, I called - only to find that he was out for a few hours - ". . . probably gone to Wall-Mart.

There is a phone in his room, 508-895-0680, and I did reach him later, but because of the low volume and slurred speech, the communication was mostly one-way, my letting him know I would be coming the following week. The response I got told me that it would be ok with him.

When I asked if he had heard from any other classmates, he showed me the card & signatures that the reunion committee had sent him, and I could tell it meant a lot to him, so I would say thank you to all who sent him the card, and would encourage other classmates to write to him and let him know what you are doing, now that we are all getting re-acquainted.

Even better, please try to visit him at the above address. If you have any experience with rehab centers, they are not the brightest sides of the planet, and I know any visit from friends is welcomed as a glimmer of sunshine.

THANK YOU !!! to every classmate and guest who participated to make the Class of 1956 Golden Reunion an unquestionable stupendous success.   Becoming reacquainted with classmates, that most of us had not seen for 50 years, reintroduced many precious memories.  Whatever drove our actions and desires during our high school days was not part of the agenda when our big happy family of classmates assembled for three days of unforgettable 50th Golden Reunion activities.  Everything intended went perfectly while the entire three days were blessed with absolutely beautiful weather.  Hopefully, those unable to attend this years reunion event will consider being part of the mix next time around.

A questionnaire is being prepared to be sent to all classmates to ask for your input regarding future Class of 1956 events.  One thought

introduced is to gather again in two years to celebrate one Big 70th Birthday Party in recognition of members of our class.  Comments are solicited from you all...

Please submit your memories surrounding your 50th High School Reunion weekend for all to enjoy...

Lorraine!  I have the pictures and will bring them to you.  I will save prints that I have from the 40th and 50th reunions to post at our next (?) Reunion.  Whoopee !!!

Am sure it will take you awhile to totally recover from all the work, activity and emotional plus physical input that you have spent on this VERY SUCCESSFUL 50th Golden Reunion.  It was truly perfect from beginning to end in my estimation.  Thanks to you, Buddy, Skip, John, Ken, Bob and Rosemary, Barb T., Connie, Diane, Barb A., Ann Marie, Jerry, Brian, Norm, and all others that made everything work.   Surely hope none of you suffered repercussions, health wise.  This superb occasion will be etched in all of our memories forever.  I TRULY THANK YOU All !!!  With Love,

While Visiting the DHS Class of 1956 website, "The music made me cry."  I think it was not only thinking of the fantastic 50th Reunion weekend but also of the classmates, activities, getting together, and yes, the months of planning that ended with such a delicious bang!  And being blessed with wonderful weather for our 50th.

All the way home we were marvelling about how wonderful the whole weekend was.  The planning was exquisite.  It was so much better than one event!  We are already excited about the next one in two years!  Please pick a summer date again as some of us are still working (teaching).

What a fabulous 50th!  Everything seemed to go very smoothly. The hospitality room was a big hit! I had a great time Saturday night!  Good job on the memory page!  Nancy Knox is very clever and creative with her poem.  Some folks are so talented.

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!
It truly was a fabulous three-day Reunion, that all of us appreciated  so very much.  Sunday night's get together hosted by Rainy, Buddy, and son Brian was the perfect ending to our extravaganza.  What a super time we all had!  We did and continue to have a fabulous Class!

WOW!!  What can I say?  Last weekend was by far the most memorable weekend I shall ever experience!  First of all, I want to express my Thanks to the Launch Crew for our 50th Reunion.  Our successful reunion was a combined effort of this committee and they are all to be commended for the hard work they did to pull this off!!  It was so heartwarming to see so many classmates gather together after so many years and have so much fun.  No matter what one's status was during high school years, we gathered together as one happy family with no division whatsoever of who we were fifty years ago.  Everybody was included, which was my goal, and it worked!  I thank everyone who attended the events, as this reunion would not have been so successful had not so many classmates participated.  It was all of you who made it happen.  We provided the props, but all of you made it successful and fun!

I am so excited to be able to attend my 50th Class Reunion, even more so, because I thought I would have to pass and try for the 100th. Apparently A Higher Power wanted me to go because everything fell right into place this past week.  Seeing old friends and keeping in touch is a biggy for us all. So many of our class has gone their own ways and life can certainly get between what we want to do and what we are able to do.

This is the first email (other than those sent to my kids and siblings) I have sent out since getting reconnected to the www.  Unfortunately even though I had worked it out with the kids that my back allowing I would be in Portland for the banquet and Sunday activities, I will not be able to attend.  I wonder if you realize just how much I was looking forward to seeing you and so many others. Only a fractured pelvis would keep me from attending.  That's right. I am writing this on my laptop from my bed in a HEALTHSOUTH rehab hospital.  I am pushing to get back to my home here in Brooksville the week of the fourth!!!!!!!!!!!  It seems I may not even make it back to Maine this summer I would have been flying home on the third of July and staying till an august return date for back follow-up -oh well what can I say - nothing that the former Sister Maria Pacis would have said - but surely what she would have been thinking, and what Betty Cough is capable of shouting aloud regardless of who is listening.  I am serious when I say just how much I was looking forward to seeing and reconnecting with friends from fifty years ago.  Just to get a glimpse however brief of what life's adventures others have had. You Skip and John have done such a lot of wonderful work in planning the festivities and hopefully as great as all this has been the actual reunion will be even more spectacular. Have a wonderful time and please keep me in mind if there is a move to have future gatherings.  I would love to participate.  ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY!

We all owe you big time for all the hours you've invested in helping to make the reunion possible!  Thanks!!  Have a quick question ... is there still time for me to e mail a photograph of myself to somebody so it would get used at/for the reunion?

Sadly, my wife and I just bought a house and our move takes place the very same time as the reunion. Wish I could join you all!  Many Thanks.

Rainy,  The more I think about it, the more I feel that I will try to down to Portland for the Saturday night banquet  most of the family will be around for several days  and I think I really can skip the family banquet  they will all understand.  So now it really depends on how I feel after the  flight home, and the family reunion gatherings.  It is a bit of a drive to Portland from Bar Harbor.  I will sign up now, and send off the check tomorrow even if I am not able to attend the money will go to a good cause.  Hope to see you soon!

The website is MARVELOUS!!!! I'm sorry, but I won't be at the reunion next month, but I persuaded my daughter to take a close-up picture of me, but I don't know how to get it on the computer...  Please give me an address where I can mail it by postal mail, and if you would please add it to the collection of class member pics.  I will try to get it out in the very next mail.  Thank you.

So sorry that I cannot be with all of you, but Betty Packard saw me in May and can fill you in. My husband and I live on a ranch on the banks of the Yellowstone River with our 2 dogs. My days are filled with family, friends, walking, hiking, fishing, and enjoying where we live. See our web site rmillionranch.com to see more about our ranch. Our 3 sons formed their own international fly fishing business and have lodges around the world, all of which we have visited. See their website for more info about them and us http://www.sweetwatertravel.com. I will try to make the next reunion, but for now I send my best to all of my '56 friends!

Skip, these forms are great...and I love the music!  Dick and I are headed to So. America in a couple of days and I am straight out with STUFF.  Since I am not a techy, I will have to spend some time trying to e-mail a pic out but will be back in 2 weeks and will try to e-mail you at that time. I am semi-retired in order to do some traveling, see our kids more often, go back to the piano, and get in the garden. Love your work!  Thank you.

I am a Deering grad, 1955, and I would love to look at the 1956 Classmate Roster. Could you give me the ID and the Password? You have done a great job with the site, and everything else. We had a great reunion last fall and a large turnout. It is really something visiting with people you haven't seen in 50 years. Thanks for your help.

Generally don't attend reunions as I look at an old person daily shaving. Actually, I would like to see some former U of M grads too, Eliot Rich & Gus Randle. Also Stan Pollock was a fellow football player.  My cousin is Hilda Santoro. If we can make it, we will.  Will try to send photos in post mail by Feb 1.  Best Wishes to all Classmates,

Hi there Rainey - and  Skipper Doyle - it has been such a long time wouldn't you say! What a great job on the web site!  Glad you are all doing the work.  I am in Florida till late May and then spend the summer at home in Bar Harbor, Maine.   I have a granddaughter graduating this June from Deering! Maybe, I'll get a picture off to the site one of these days..  It is good to see how we all look now.  Looks like we age pretty well, I'd say! Keep up the good work!
